I think the reason ... I think the reason why alcohol is legal is because it is controllable. Not everyone can make it, however, everyone can grow weed. I think one reason ... I think one reason why alcohol is accepted while marijuana is criminalised is that being drunk is very simple to understand and has obvious negative consequences. This is the strange part of the whole thing. Getting drunk is accepted as a vice because there is no moral ambiguity (people know it is bad for you) and has consequences (you get a hangover if you have too much).? However, getting high is more complicated and has potential virtues. This scares people who want it black-and-white.
